New Series Out on Jan 10th

Happy Holidays! I’ve had some ups and downs this year but I will have to say that writing and publishing my novels has been a great up for me. I have met so many new people and have had so many encouraging words to keep me going on this endeavor. I have been busy this fall and winter with my writing. The Blue Eyes trilogy finished up early this fall, but I felt like the story wasn’t done- at least not for Devin. He is getting his own trilogy and the first book will be out in the spring. On January 10th, I’ll be releasing the first of a completely new series. The Chalcedony Chronicles will follow a...

12/20 Latest Reads: The Stained Series by Ella James

Stained, Stolen, Chosen, and Exalted by Ella James I will have to say that I actually had this book downloaded on my e-reader for a long while. I download books if the premise sounds good, but once they end up on my e-reader, it is cover that makes me at least open the cover. Needless to say, I didn’t open this one as it didn’t draw me in as much as the other books I have. So I went to UTOPYAcon this year and saw Ella James on a panel. When I went back to check for books by people I saw and those I met there, I found I had her book and decided to give it a try. I read the whole book and then...

11/29 Latest Reads: Origin by Jennifer Armentrout and Alliegent by Veronica Roth

The week of the sequel… I don’t do this on purpose, but something always links the books together that I read. This week I read two books that actually are the fourth and the third in two different series. I think you have a different mentality going into a book if you read another already. You already know some if not all of the main players and you already know the writing style. I really think it leads to a different reading experience.   Origin by Jennifer Armentrout Jumping back into the story of Katy and Daemon- and I gladly jump back in. It is action all the way. Katy is caught...

11/22 Latest Reads: Sacrified in Shadow, Oaths of Blood, Ruled by Steel by SM Reine

SM Reine was so nice to give me her books to read and review. I fell bad it took me so long to get these posted…. Somehow this fall, life got in my way of everything, but thankfully I am getting back on track- so without further ado here is the Ascension Series   Sacrificed in Shadow (#1) (The Ascension Series) Combing two series. I will say I did hold off reading this as I wanted a little bit of a background with the character Elise- so I went out and got the first three books of Reine The Descent Series and got a bit of a background on Elise. It was fun to get into a novel that combined...

11/18 Writing Updates

I am currently starting a new book- the spin off to the Blue Eyes Trilogy. It is so much fun to get back to writing about some old friends….. Can’t wait to see how Nessa’s world turns out and if Devin can handle it long enough to break the bond between him and Nessa. I am a combination writer in that I have a rough outline, but then find myself writing as it comes- so really I’m not sure what will happen or how they will find their way at this point….. My next novel I’m aiming to be released in January is the first in a new series called Carnelian.  It is a...

Latest Reads: Displaced by JF Jenkins and Chasing Atlantis by Kelly Coughlin

Displaced (The Achlivan Cycle) by JF Jenkins This was a sci-fi read so a fun change of pace from all my paranormal/urban fantasy reads. The premise is Chevelle get taken by an alien race along with her friend Wicken and superstar Timber. She has to pretend to be together with Timber while still searching for Wicken. It is a mystery type of novel as you really don’t know why the aliens took people by force yet let them life quite comfortably. You find out in the end as the cliffhanger is set. This book jumped view points from all three characters- which I normally don’t like, but it worked here. You...
