Review: Fate Succumbs by Tammy Blackwell Scout is on the run with Liam but it is time to make a stand. First though, Liam needs to teach Scout how to be a shifter. Time is running out as she prepares to meet her predetermined fate. This book finishes up the relationship between Scout and Alex to let her move onto Liam. Liam is a bit rough around the edges but I like him. He isn’t the typical YA male lead all doughy eyed or oozing sexiness. He is a normal (though very dominant) guy that is even a bit awkward but sincere toward Scout. I enjoy reading Blackwell’s style of writing. It is easy...

Review: Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout Katy has a problem- her handsome jerk of a neighbor is the twin to her new best friend. That’s not her only problem. Her neighbors are not exactly human. Again I am a sucker for the bad boy. The main love interest Daemon is actually a complete jerk- yet good at verbal sparring. I personally like when characters don’t get along- too sappy when they fall in love at first sight. This book was filled with tension between the main character and her love interest. Tension because she is trying to figure out what they are, tension as he tries to keep her...

Unfortunately for Anna, there is the problem that Jack becomes more and more appealing the longer he stays. When she is found talking to thin air, her parents medicate and threaten to institutionalize her. There were several plot lines threaded together in this story. First off is the relationship between Anna and Jack and learning the truth of her...

Review: Winter’s Awakening by Karen Luellen Meg, along with her brother’s find out the reason they were homeschooled and kept from the world. For their entire lives, they have been hunted by a lab that created them to be super humans. Their mother saved them, yet now it is time to return the favor. This book was different in that all the chapters jumped around from different points of view. There was the view point of Margo, Meg, Mr. Williams and they switched between first person with Meg to third person with everyone else. I was a very different style book that took some reading to get...

Review: All Hallows’ Moon, Long Night Moon, and Grey Moon Rising by SM Reine Starting over after becoming a werewolf is hard to do if your hunter boyfriend and his family move to town. Rylie tries to make things work, but Seth’s mother is too set to destroy the wolf in town no matter what her son thinks or wants. Reines style again was an easy read. I enjoy a book that is easy to follow and the author answers all your questions as they come up. In this story Seth’s mother is the villain and to some extent his brother Abel. We are introduced to the villain at the beginning of the...
