Review : Hollowland by Amanda Hocking Remy has one goal- get to Max, her little brother, and make sure he is never left alone. That would be an easy task, if there weren’t zombies running around and getting smarter. Along the way she finds a few allies that help her and a faithful lion, but is that enough to get to Max before anyone else does? This was a quick read and easy to follow. Nothing was overly complicated, but how can it get complicated in a post-apocalyptic world where zombies are eating everyone- including themselves. It is more of an action tale, so it was fast from start to finish as...

Review: Night Marchers by Rebecca Gober and Courtney Nuckels Emma has been uprooted from her Texas home to follow her father (a paranormal investigator) to Hawaii. While there she meets two young men who catch her interest. The only problem is that one has been alive for hundreds of years and now is trapped. This story was a bit slow off the bat, but it was enough to keep me interested and reading. It switched a bit from past to present as the author recalled events that lead to where the story started off. This was a bit distracting, but filled in the back story. I would have rather had less back...

Review : Rex Rising by Chrystalla Thoma Elei is running away and being tracked at every moment. Unfortunately, he has also been shot. Even more unfortunate, the two parasites that coexist in him are fighting for control. Elei must look to complete strangers to help him. Action is the best word to describe this book. From the opening chapter where the protagonist is on the run with a bullet hole in him, the action does not stop. He continues on through the whole book- almost forcefully pushing the action forward. It is a quick read as you feel like you are just keeping up with him as he continues to...
