Review: Open Minds by Susan Kaye Quinn

Review: Open Minds by Susan Kaye Quinn

As everyone around her is becoming a mind reader, Kira thought she was a zero with no abilities. Little did she know, she was more unique than not being able to read minds- she can control them. Her new ability soon makes her a target for various groups that want to use her. Kira must quickly decide her own future if she doesn’t want to end up a pawn for someone else.

Fast-paced first-person narrative that allows you to see the character grow from her point of view mixed with dialog in the action as it is presented to her. Everything progressed logically and was easy to follow. The plot was well developed. As with most books that have a sequel- there are a few loose ends that are not wrapped up by the last page and will hopefully be explored in the next book. Excellent writing-kept interest throughout. There were no noticeable mistakes and nothing distracted from the story.

I highly recommend this to anyone that likes YA science fiction.
