Review : Six Moon Summer by SM Reine

Rylie has been exiled from home to avoid her parents’ divorce proceedings- by their choice, not hers. While away at a terrible summer camp, her life as she knew it ends after being bitten by a werewolf. She has the summer months to find a cure before it becomes permanent.

I liked that for once I found a werewolf book where they were actually in a forest at summer camp to be bitten by one. It is the most plausible explanation of all the werewolf stories I have read thus far. This is the first book in a series and thus is treated as such. The ending had a bit of a conclusion to the story, but there were many loose ends left for other books to tie up. The author also planted the seeds of the future books by having an epilogue to show the struggles of Seth’s brother. This can be both a bad and good thing for an author and depends on if a reader likes that sort of ending or not.

Fans of the werewolf paranormal genre will enjoy this book. Today it is free on amazon- so well worth it if you can get a copy to read.
