11/18 Writing Updates

I am currently starting a new book- the spin off to the Blue Eyes Trilogy. It is so much fun to get back to writing about some old friends….. Can’t wait to see how Nessa’s world turns out and if Devin can handle it long enough to break the bond between him and Nessa. I am a combination writer in that I have a rough outline, but then find myself writing as it comes- so really I’m not sure what will happen or how they will find their way at this point….. My next novel I’m aiming to be released in January is the first in a new series called Carnelian.  It is a...

Latest Reads: Displaced by JF Jenkins and Chasing Atlantis by Kelly Coughlin

Displaced (The Achlivan Cycle) by JF Jenkins This was a sci-fi read so a fun change of pace from all my paranormal/urban fantasy reads. The premise is Chevelle get taken by an alien race along with her friend Wicken and superstar Timber. She has to pretend to be together with Timber while still searching for Wicken. It is a mystery type of novel as you really don’t know why the aliens took people by force yet let them life quite comfortably. You find out in the end as the cliffhanger is set. This book jumped view points from all three characters- which I normally don’t like, but it worked here. You...

Latest reads: Beautiful Monster by Bella Forest and Vamped by Lucine Driver

I guess this was vampire week….. I happened to read two very different vampires tales- both good reads and both very different from each other.   Beautiful Monster by Bella Forest Easy and fun read. This was a vampire story, but set at an acting school. I was a much different feel than many of the books I have read lately. The focus being on her acting and enjoying the new world she was in as much as her romance and Liam. Very well balanced tale- not completely about the supernatural. It was a fun change of pace. Forest writing is easy to follow and a nice flowing story. I would recommend...

Katie’s Hellion, Katie’s Hope, and Rhyn’s Redemption by Lizzy Ford

Katie’s Hellion, Katie’s Hope, and Rhyn’s Redemption by Lizzy Ford Katie is screw up- but one thing she knows- she doesn’t have a seven year old kid that just shows up one day. Turns out the “gods” (I mean, yeah they are supernatural, but not really gods, I dunno how I’d describe them at most- they are very vampire like also- gods seemed like the best fit) are all playing around with her as she find she is immune to their tricks- while the rest of the world isn’t (leading them to believe her to be a bad mother to a child not hers) Turns out she has an even greater role and soon finds the gods all want...

Updates: Book 3 of the Blue Eyes Trilogy

Book 3 coming along……. and here’s a sneak peak…… So just to update everyone, Book 3 of the blue eyes trilogy, Winning the Legend, is written and going through edits and formatting right now as I type this. I don’t have an official date yet chosen to release the book, but we are aiming for the end of the month (I’d like to get it to you guys as soon as I can, but I want to make sure it gets all the proper editing to make it the best possible book I can get out there). I can’t wait to see how people like the ending and maybe a possible spin off series...
